PSBT is a new BRC-20 token issuance protocol, compared with the current mainstream BRC-20 Mint Function, which can take into account fairness while significantly reducing users’ GAS costs through bundle casting and alleviating information congestion across the network. In addition, it can choose to use the GAS saved by the issuance as the early revenue of the token issuer to ensure the future development of the issuance project.
The protocol implementation is divided into three main segments: dynamic breakout UTXO, Auto-inscription, and PSBT Exchange.
Unlike ETH, indexing services are crucial in Ordinals ecology. Currently UniSat provides a very critical indexing service, and they have promoted and helped the development of BRC-20. However, in the long run, there is a need for multiple indexing service providers that follow uniform indexing rules and cross-check each other to ensure that there are no indexing conflicts to further guarantee the healthy development of BRC-20.
